Hi, I’m April

Owner and founder of Mindful Mamas Doula Services. I am a mother to 3 adult children (Dustin, McKenzie, and Jaxon) and they are the light of my life. My inspiration to get involved with birth work was ignited after attending the home birth of my niece. Though I had attended 2 births prior to my sister’s, and had given birth myself 3 times, it was my initiation into non medicalized birth. I. WAS. HOOKED. I needed to be a part of ushering in a new paradigm surrounding birth.

As I dove headfirst into all things related to birth, I became more and more passionate about the experiences of mothers, babies and their families. It also sparked memories of the births of my own precious babies and I realized that there were so many things left unprocessed. As I began alchemizing the pain, and trauma of my own birth experiences, the fire had been lit and I knew there was no going back…. This was where I wanted to make a difference in the world.
